Fond Memories

My wife and I watched the Palisades Amusement Park documentary on PBS last night, totally enthralled.  Born and raised in Houston, TX, I had no expectation that I would ever live just across the river from NYC (Hoboken).  As we were watchmg, I suddenly blurted out to my wife how I remembered ads in my Superman comic books about Palisades. A few minutes later, the documentary showed the very ad that intrigued me so some 35 years ago.

Though I grew up nearly 2,000 miles away, and never had the pleasure to see the park, I still managed to have a Palisades Amusement Park memory.

A great site, and I feel weirdly nostalgic for a place I never saw.
