Fond Memories
The
mere thought of Palisades...
I must say just the mere thought of Palisades
Amusement Park brings a smile to my face. I have 3 great memories of the
park. My first was that my parents took me to the park when I made my
first holy communion. Most kids, at that time, had a party but I wanted to
go to the park. My dad borrowed my uncle's 1964 T-Bird and my parents, my
sister and I went to the park. To this day I still have the picture of me
in my communion outfit in the parking lot with the Cyclone in the
background. It is truly my favorite picture.
My 2nd memory, is that my friends and I would take
the Kennedy Blvd bus to the park (those of us from Jersey City know what
I'm talking about.) and my final fond memory is that every time we would
go to the park, my mom wouldn't go on any rides because she got sick but
she would always go on the Old Fashion Cars Ride because that she could
handle. That ride symbolized our family experience at Palisades Amusement
Park. I will always love the park and those great memories.
P.S. What a great site!!!!!!
Thanks, Vincent
