Walking Across the 
George Washington Bridge

How wonderful it was to find your web site. My friends and I would walk across the GW bridge during the summer and then walk the long way to Palisades Park. I still have the vivid memories of spending hot, summer days enjoying the rides and pool and saving just enough money to ride the tan and red bus back to 168th St., then walking home the 4 blocks from the bus station.

In those days parents didn't worry about their kids walking home at night. I keep telling my family what wonderful times those were but they just can't imagine it. Your site brought it all back and it made me feel 13 again.
