  Fond Memories

Battle of the Bands

I lived in the town of Palisades Park and remember every weekend giving directions to lost cars headed to "The Park". Since living so close I practically grew up at "The Park". I remember our local town bands playing at "The Park" in the Battle of the Bands and making myself dizzy from screaming so loud. The band that had the most screams, won. Clay Cole, adorned in his famous Plaid Jacket, would introduce the bands. Those were the days - I wish I could go back one more time for a Roast Beef Sandwich, Lemonade and a Vanilla Custard Ice Cream Cone.

Thanks for the memories - Too bad they had to end

J.
