Serendipity

Mr. Gargiulo:

Hi! I hope this email will reach Vince Gargiulo, the author of the Palisades Amusement Park book.

If so:  Thank You!! Thank you so very much for putting together this terrific book. After so many decades, most memories get blurry, but the ones I have from my Palisades days still surface frequently. All that color and action is to precious not to recall.

A few years back, I found a video about the Park and my husband Jim and I both enjoyed it and compared rekindled recollections.

Jim grew up a few blocks from the Park in Fort Lee and I was a Guttenberg kid who graduated from North Bergen High in 1969. By the way, I noticed Nick Corbiscello's name on your list of acknowledgements, and I believe he was in my graduating class.

I won't bore you with a long life story, but Jim and I now live on Cape Cod. We moved here to work at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Inst. (WHOI)  After raising our family, I stepped back from WHOI and now work in the town library and also do freelance writing. I finished a book last year on our library as a fundraiser, and was searching through Google for another book topic when one of my searches, involving Sonny Fox (would you believe) led me to your book.

I do love serendipity.  And I am thrilled to have found your book. I also bought a copy for a close friend, and most likely will be ordering additional copies down the line as gifts.

If you have any new book projects in the works, please let me know,

Chris Makris Lynch
