He Guessed Your Weight at Palisades Park

I just finished reading the letter from Vincent Porzio, Jr. about his Dad taking him to PP as a kid.

If I remember right.....Vincent Porzio, Sr. was the CUTEST guy in PP & gave out cupie dolls if he couldn't guess your weight correctly. Myself and all my girlfriends had the BIGGEST crush on Vinny, Sr.

It was fun reading about Porzio, Sr. and to think I even knew him later on in years.

I had my first date at Palisades Park. It was our 8th grade Sara Gilmore Grammar School (Union City) graduation trip. My date was a cute blonde guy named Dave from my class. He won me a goldfish at one of the stands. I can remember riding home on the bus with that goldfish and trying to keep the water from splashing out of the little bowl.

And what fun at the salt-water pool with it's mechanical waterfall!

Palisades Park will always be a big part of my growing up.
