Those Memories Still Remain

I lived in Hoboken, so we were always at the Park, especially in the Summer for the Pool and the big lemons with the ice cold lemonade.....the Shows, Tunnel of Love, the Fat Lady Laughing in my minds eye, I can still see it and hear the sounds.......

I was also in the fire in 44, I can remember my Dad holding me and my sister in the pool until the wires started to fall, I remember a Fireman carrying me down a ladder covered with his raincoat, down the Palisades.....

I was only 5 but those memories still remain.......

Fr. George McBride
