After Our Prom 1967...

I found your site and it brought back some great memories.

In the late 60s I lived on Long Island but visited the park on 3 occasions in my senior year of high school. After our Prom 1967, we spent the night out and ended up at Palisades Park. We spent the whole day at the park and rode every ride 5 times, went in the wave pool, danced to the live music and lost every dime I had on the midway games. I had my fortune read and the predictions were totally wrong. But my fondest recollection of the park was the tunnel of love which I rode many time that day with my Prom date and we had a great time. I never saw her again after that day because I moved to Miami a few months later to go to College. but I'm sure she too has some great memories of that once great amusement park that has now gone into the history books like so many other attractions of my era.
