Last Seat of the Cyclone

Hi Vince,

I grew up in Rockland Co. N.Y. that was not all that far away from the park. I remember going there as a small child once or twice and was fascinated by the Cyclone. Once I was old enough you couldn't get me off of it. I was particularly fond of the last seat and getting "thrown around" so to speak. One night when my friend and I got off work we drove down and had some fun. She was tired of riding but like I said before you couldn't get me off. So here I was riding the last seat all by myself and had one of the best rides of my life. When I got off there was a man who commented to me that he thought someone got thrown out of the beck seat on the last ride. All I could do was laugh and say you are looking at her. After that we went across the street to Hiram's for a hot dog ! !

Now I would like to tell you a little more. I now live near the Great Escape in Lake George and in 1994 they acquired the Comet. I am working there and a guest just told me that the designer of the Comet only did 3 coasters and one was the Cyclone in Palisades Park. HMMMMMMM wonder why they can't get me off the Comet?? The Comet was just recognized by the ACA to be a historical coaster.

Nancy
