On Saturday, September 26, 1998, a fitting tribute was officially dedicated to the
memory of Palisades Amusement Park. This peaceful little rest area is paved with bricks
containing the memories of over two hundred Palisades fans who literally made this
monument happen. An estimated one thousand people attended the opening ceremony that was
hosted by WCBS-FM radio personality, Cousin Bruce Morrow.
The site is located on Palisades Avenue in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, north of
Lafayette Avenue. Just in front of Winston Towers building 300, this site was the former
home of the Cyclone Roller Coaster, The Showboat Fun House, the world's largest outdoor
salt water pool, and so much more!
The project was funded by donations from hundreds of people from across the country who
all shared a common passion for this great New Jersey fun center. The "Little Park of
Memories" will remain a permanent part of the community for all to share. If you
happen to be in the neighborhood, please stop by and share a happy thought or two.
