The Point Restaurant Pays Tribute
to Palisades Amusement Park.

The Point, a landmark restaurant in the area for four decades, has re-opened with an all new decor, including a huge Palisades Amusement Park mural in the main dining room as well as a breathtaking 3-wall mural high above the main entrance.

The restaurant is owned by Sam Athanas, who began the eatery in 1961. The general managers are George Athanas (Sam's son), and Arthur Giannaros.

The artwork was painted by Edward Malillo, the noted artist who produced the chapter illustrations in the book "Palisades Amusement Park: A Century of Fond Memories", as well as the artwork seen in the PBS documentary of the same name.

Patrons to the new establishment will find a friendly, family atmosphere with a great nostalgic feel. The restaurant is now open and is located at 160 Bergen Boulevard, Fairview, New Jersey.
